MCP INTEGRATION GUIDE

Connect your AI app to Ritomira.

MCP lets a compatible AI app use Ritomira data and posting tools. You need a Ritomira Standard or higher plan and an app that supports remote MCP connections.

Available on Standard, Pro and Premium

For an overview of what MCP integration can do, see the feature page. What MCP integration can do

Connect in four steps

Connection URL

https://mcp.ritomira.com/mcp

If asked for a transport, choose HTTP (Streamable HTTP).

  1. Check your Ritomira plan

Ritomira Standard, Pro and Premium include MCP. Also check that your app supports remote MCP and meets its own usage requirements.

  2. Add the URL to your app

In an MCP-compatible app such as Claude (desktop or web), Claude Code, ChatGPT or Codex, add a new MCP server or connector and enter the URL above. Setting names vary by app.

  3. Log in to Ritomira

When the page opens, log in to Ritomira with your email address or Google. Use the Ritomira account that has the X account you want to use connected.

  4. Review permissions and connect

Review the X account and allowed actions on the consent page, then approve the connection. Return to your app and start by asking to review your posts.

Setup by app

Choose the setup instructions for your app. After adding Ritomira, try the read-only example below.

Claude (desktop and web)

  1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors and add a custom connector.

  2. Name it Ritomira and enter the connection URL. Connect with OAuth, sign in to Ritomira, and review the account and allowed actions.

  3. Enable Ritomira in Claude, then send the example below.

Your organization may require an administrator to allow or add a custom connector.

Official setup instructions

Claude Code

  1. Run this command in your terminal (to use Ritomira in every project).

claude mcp add --transport http --scope user ritomira https://mcp.ritomira.com/mcp
  2. Open /mcp in Claude Code, select ritomira and authenticate. Sign in to Ritomira in the browser and approve.

  3. After authentication, check that Ritomira tools are available, then send the example below.

This connection uses OAuth. You can remove Ritomira from the MCP settings in Claude Code.

Official setup instructions

ChatGPT (web)

  1. In ChatGPT Plugins, select +, then Add custom MCP server.

  2. Name it Ritomira, enter the connection URL, and select OAuth authentication.

  3. Sign in to Ritomira and review the account and allowed actions. Install and enable the new Ritomira plugin, then send the example below.

Available options depend on your ChatGPT plan and workspace settings. Adding this custom connection does not mean Ritomira is listed in the official store.

Official setup instructions

Codex CLI

  1. In a terminal with Codex CLI installed, run the add command.

codex mcp add ritomira --url https://mcp.ritomira.com/mcp
  2. Then run the authentication command, sign in to Ritomira in the browser, and approve access.

    codex mcp login ritomira
  3. Open /mcp in Codex to check Ritomira, then send the example below.

Adding and authenticating are separate steps. To remove the connection, run codex mcp remove ritomira.

Official setup instructions

Other HTTP-compatible app

  1. In the app’s MCP settings, add the connection URL as a remote HTTP server.

  2. Start OAuth authentication, sign in to Ritomira, and review the account and allowed actions.

  3. Enable Ritomira in the app, then send the example below.

The app must support Streamable HTTP and OAuth. These generic steps do not mean every app has been tested.

Start with a read-only check

After approving access, send this request in your chosen AI app. You can check access without changing action permissions.

List the social accounts connected to Ritomira, showing their names and platforms. If there is more than one, ask me to choose an account. Only perform read operations.

An account response in your chosen app confirms that it can read. This page does not automatically detect an external app connection.

If you do not get a result
  • If authentication is requested, sign in to Ritomira again from your chosen app.
  • If access is unavailable, check your Ritomira plan (MCP requires Standard or above) and your app’s administrator settings and requirements.
  • If no social accounts are listed, check your connected accounts in Ritomira. Check social accounts

Connection configuration for Claude Code

This JSON contains the server address only. Merge the ritomira entry into your existing .mcp.json, then complete OAuth in Claude Code. It contains no API keys or social account credentials. Keep your existing settings and follow the client-specific instructions above.

Figures are illustrative samples. The AI app uses Ritomira tools (here, get_account_dashboard), within your plan and the actions you allow in Settings.

Actions and permissions

New connections allow read access only. You can turn on draft and scheduling actions yourself in Ritomira Settings (AI app integration permissions). After turning them on, reconnect Ritomira in your AI app to use them.

Included on connection

Read posts and analytics

Review posts, impressions, engagement, top posts and posting times. Organizing and analyzing content themes requires Pro or higher.

Turn on in Settings

Create, edit and delete drafts

Save post ideas as Ritomira drafts. Creating a draft does not publish it to X.

Turn on in Settings

Create, edit and delete scheduled posts

Manage Ritomira scheduled posts. A new reservation automatically publishes to X at its scheduled time, so verify the account, text and time before requesting it.

Change permissions in Settings

The article tools need an X account that can use Articles on X, such as X Premium.

Authentication and safety

  • The connection uses OAuth; no API key is issued. You sign in to Ritomira in the browser and approve when you connect.
  • Your X or other social account passwords and tokens are never passed to the AI app. The app works only through Ritomira, with the actions you allow.
  • The first connection can only view (read) data. Drafts, scheduling and immediate article publishing work only after you turn them on in Ritomira settings.
  • You can turn permissions off or disconnect at any time in Ritomira settings.

If you cannot connect

The app reports that a higher plan is required

MCP connections require Standard or higher; organizing and analyzing content themes requires Pro or higher. Check the Ritomira account you logged in with and the requirements of the requested action. Reconnect from your app after changing plans.

Draft or scheduling actions are unavailable

In Ritomira Settings, check that the actions you want are turned on. After turning them on, reconnect Ritomira in your AI app to use them.

The app asks you to authenticate again

Reconnect through your app’s MCP settings, log in to Ritomira, then review the X account and allowed actions and connect again.

MCP integration is included in Standard, Pro and Premium. It is unavailable on Free. Using the posting organizer (theme analysis) through MCP requires Pro or higher.
